On April 30, 2010, the TQ daycare center Hirschkäfer moved into a new building in Delling near Seefeld. The building with 400 square meters of floor space was completed in almost ten months of construction time. The grounds are currently still being set up and it will therefore take a few more weeks before the 39 children that are being looked after can use the yard. This should all be finished by no later than when the daycare center is officially dedicated on July 2, 2010.
The area of the TQ daycare center Hirschkäfer, which covers more than 8,000 square meters, is located near the idyllic Aubachtal and is bordered by an old stock of trees and bushes. The nature-inspired, ground-level building with the green monopitch roof features lots of wood and thus blends in well with the surrounding landscape. The interior of the daycare center, which is designed for two groups, is also furnished with natural materials as far as possible, including the toys. The children have two group rooms available to them, with one nap room and one bathroom each. The children from the groups can meet and play with each other in a large lobby.
"After the building permit and also the construction were delayed, the TQ daycare center Hirschkäfer started out in temporary premises in Weßling on September 1, 2009. The seven employees and 39 children had settled in very nicely there - nonetheless, they are now all very happy about the move", declares Natalie Birth, 1st chairwoman of the TQ-Kinderhaus Hirschkäfer support association.
The support association and the early childhood educators and child care workers pursue a very ambitious concept that focuses on the enjoyment of nature, movement, music, a healthy diet and humaneness. Care and stimulation is specifically adapted to the needs of the individual child. The surroundings and the new building in Delling provide the ideal conditions for successful implementation of the concept. This view is shared by the parents as well: The daycare center is already booked solid for the daycare year starting in September 2010.
