The use of modular embedded systems in industrial applications should be carefully considered due to the considerable implications until the correct decision is made. If you do not want to start at the beginning with the next generation of devices or even just with functional enhancements, systems with a modular structure offer enormous advantages. The TQ plug&play starterkits help with rapid integration in an application.

The basic concept of the first starterkit of TQ Components was to help the developer with an universally applicable board. The goal was the rapid and problem-free implementation of his idea into a finished product.

  • Rapid commissioning of the TQ modules
  • No lengthy threading and soldering work
  • All modular functionalities are lead through connectors and pins
  • Integration of the more extensive logic of the interfaces (e.g. PHY transceiver and transformer for Ethernet, CAN transceiver)
  • Additional LEDs give status messages on the function of the board.
  • Jumper for master/slave setting
  • Additional functions such as optoelectronic coupler, level shifter function, reset button and NMI button (NMI = Non Maskable Interupt) etc.
  • Programming interfaces such as JTAG / BDM or Lauterbach
  • Display of optical results or status messages by LEDs, LCDs
  • Partial stepper motor drive with hardware (Infineon)
  • Accessories: Connector power supply, download cable, tool CD, module puller
  • Commissioning software: For Infineon modules: TQ-Load and TQ-Select. Freescale:Tera Term Pro / UBoot
  • TQ-Load: Integration of auto-programmed files into the module memory
  • TQ-Select: Runs these demo programs
  • Tera Term Pro: Commissioning for Freescale modules
  • Circuit diagrams of the starterkit for a rapid extraction of the module into the application
  • Standard power voltage with 12 V or 24 V
